Polyurethane end bushings, seamless eye rings and hard-chromed piston rods are just some of the extreme features that separate Nitro-Active from the competition. Nitro-Active shocks are valved for each specific application. Few manufacturers are licensed to build the monotube design, but all recognize monotube as the best performance design on the market ? Only Belltech builds a monotube shock that is designed and valved for each specific application. Nitro-Active shocks are ideal for use with modern radial tires and performance wheels (standard or larger rim diameters) used on heavy duty factory or performance aftermarket suspensions. Nitro-Drop, are the result of over two years of extensive research and development with top flight shock design engineers. Our objective was to develop a twintube shock specifically for our desired applications. Not a universal or converted stiff 4X4 shock, Nitro-Drop shocks are designed to offer the best possible performance at an affordable price, something that has always been a compromise in the past. The following are some of the primary Nitro-Drop features: CARBON STEEL SHAFT : The carbon steel shaft is centerless ground, chrome plated and centerless ground again then lapped for a perfect seal. The process yields a concentric shaft that resists rust and prolongs seal life. NITROGEN GAS : In addition to individual valving, a precise amount of nitrogen gas pressure is added to the shock for each specific application. This special formula of Nitrogen gas is not temperature sensitive, preventing the shock from foaming or fading. TAPERED EYE RING & POLYURETHANE BUSHING : Our tapered eye ring eliminates bushing walk or side movement during operation. The high performance polyurethane bushings are manufactured to our specific durometer requirements. After extensive testing, this polyurethane formula has proven to maintain positive control, operating quietly and resisting road acids that destroy common rubber bushings.
