INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHIFT KNOBS

Neon Shift Knob Installation 1) Remove your existing shift knob (most unscrew from shaft). 2) Choose appropriate insert (3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16) for the shaft. 3) If insert is used, make sure that the allen screws line up with open slot on the insert. The allen screw should screw thru open slots. 4) After placing the shift knob on shaft tighten the allen screws with the allen-wrench supplied. Plug adapter into cigarette lighter and press switch ?ON. Permanent Installation 1) Remove your existing shift knob (most unscrew from shaft). 2) Remove console top and shift boot. 3) Run the wire from the shift knob thru the boot and console. 4) Continue running this wire under the dashboard. 5) Replace console & boot and pull wire under dash to remove slack. 6) Choose appropriate insert (3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16) for the shaft. 7) If insert is used, make sure that the allen screws line up with open slot on the insert. The allen screw should screw thru open slots. 8) After placing the shift knob on shaft tighten the allen screws with the allen-wrench supplied. 9) Connect black wire to a (-) ground & connect the red wire to a constant 12 volt source. 10) Press switch... & Enjoy!
